Following a four-match winless run in the league, Kaizer Chiefs unexpectedly hammered Chippa United 4-0 last week.

The last time they bagged four goals in a league match was in 2018 when they triumphed 4-1 over Cape Town City.

Does this mean they've suddenly topped their game?

Some may agree but I beg to differ. Chiefs' attack was clinical on the day but the team wasn't balanced. Chippa had so much space to move the ball despite not creating many goalscoring opportunities.

Chiefs vs Chippa stats (According to Flashscore)

•Ball possession: Chiefs (45%) - Chippa (55%)

•Completed passes: Chiefs (273) - Chippa (346)

•Goal attempts: Chiefs (8) - Chippa (19)

•Dangerous attacks: Chiefs (55) - Chippa (86)

The score wasn't the true reflection of the game.

Against Chilli Boys, Chiefs started with Nkosingiphile Ngcobo in the midfield replacing Cole Alexander. It was an effective change as "Mshini" added creativity that reinforced the attack.

If he starts again, Ngcobo will be battling with SuperSport United's center midfielders Jesse Don who's in fine form, and Teboho Mokoena who has been consistent for quite a while.

The left-winger Keagan Dolly who has been off-form since joining Amakhosi at the start of the season scored a brace against Chippa that secured him a man of the match. Can he be consistent?

This time around Chiefs' attack will come against the solid SuperSport United defense who have conceded one goal in the last five league games.

Matsatsantsa's confident shot-stopper Ronwen Williams has made five clean sheets in seven league games he's played. Amakhosi have a tough task against both United's defense and the goalkeeper.

As much as SuperSport's defense is rock-hard but they have a weak point in the left-back Kudakwashe Mahachi. "Kuda" is a natural left winger and does the offensive work very well as a left-back but defensively isn't sharp.

If I was The Glamour Boys' coach, I'd play the quick and skilled Keagan Dolly on the right who'd take Mahachi on and bring in crosses or cut inside.

Matsatsantsa have a strong midfield where the game is decided most of the time while Chiefs are not yet at their best. There are more chances of three points to remain in Pretoria.
