PSL Transfers: A look at the confirmed and possible signings

The PSL January transfer window is coming to a halt as it closes in the upcoming Monday.

Unlike June, mid-season window isn’t too busy, however, some big signings were made by teams like Mamelodi Sundowns who surprisingly secured the 34-year-old Surprise Ralani from Cape Town City.

Teboho Mokoena has been in the interest of Masandawana for quite some time now and has finally landed in Chloorkop in a three and a half contract with a one year option to extend.

Bafana Ba Style are also believed to have signed a Bolivian international Erwin Saavedra who’s yet to be announced officially.

AmaZulu snatched Abbubaker Mobara from Cape Town City while Sekhukhune captured the signing of the former Orlando Pirates star Justin Shonga.

All confirmed signings:

AmaZulu: Abbubaker Mobara, Abraham Majok

Baroka FC: Ntiyiso Bombi

Chippa United: Siphelele Luthuli, Ronald Pfumbidzai

Sundowns: Surprise Ralani, Teboho Mokoena

Sekhukhune United: Justin Shonga, Luckyboy Mokoena, Evans Rusike, Roderick Kabwe

Stellenbosch FC: Juan Carlos Ortiz

Maritzburg United: Tawanda Macheke, Genino Palace, Lucky Baloyi, Steven Pereira, Friday Samu

TS Galaxy: Vuyo Mere, Lefa Hlongwane, Shane Roberts, Orebotse Mongae, Andile Fakude

Rumours:

Kaizer Chiefs haven’t announced any signing thus far but have been heavily linked with AmaZulu’s Siyethemba Sithebe yet the hopes of bringing him to Naturena before the window shuts down are gradually vanishing.

Again, Amakhosi were said to be chasing SuperSport United’s Sipho Mbule, however, the club’s CEO Stan Matthews (SuperSport) confirmed that there’s no offer from Amakhosi.

Stellenbosch FC are set to announce the signing of Sibongiseni Mthethwa from Black Leorpards while Cape Town City are said to be concluding a deal with Mogamat Samodien May from Hanover Park FC that plays in the Western Cape’s SAB League.
